Copyright Info for Crochet Cabana All
materials on this web site (photos and text) are the personal property of
Sandra Petit and/or her heirs.
No information from this web site is ever to be sold or included with any grouping for any reason. This includes photos, patterns, tutorials and anything else here. NO materials (photos or text) are to be placed on your personal or business web site, regardless of whether it is free or for sale. Links are welcome. Note that links to individual pages may change over time. You may print a copy of the patterns for your personal use if you include my copyright, name and the URL. That way if the pages are misplaced, the copyright is there. Please don’t alter patterns or information from this site. I want full credit for all my mistakes. :-) If you desire to use my materials other than for personal use (such as a charity group where you need more than one copy of one pattern), please ask. I almost always do grant permission, but I want to know where my work is going and how it's going to be used. This does not include reproducing in full on a charity web site. No material is to be placed on a web site. Only links are allowed. If you want to use my materials for teaching, please contact me. You are not given permission to copy and paste from the online tutorials for your classes in order to make multiple copies for students. I have pdf files for this purpose and am in the process of updating these and adding new ones. I will charge a small fee for the privilege of using these files, currently $1 per pdf file. This does NOT give you permission to sell the tutorials. You may make as many copies as you need for your class, even multiple classes. It doesn't matter if you are charging for the class or not, as long as you don't sell the actual tutorial. You do not need to ask again for a second class. Permission is granted if you have paid the original fee. However, ALWAYS the URL and copyright notice is to be kept with anything that is used and it should be made clear to the students that copies are not to be made for friends and neighbors. I think this is a really good deal. It takes me hours, sometimes days, to complete a tutorial. You get it for $1 ready to print for your class. Printing fees are the responsibility of the teacher, of course, but some places who hire teachers will copy your class materials for free if you ask. At some point, I may have them printed, but for now I only have the files. (Note that if you lose the files, you will have to pay the fee again. If you cannot open the files, however, your money will be refunded.) If you would like to MAKE items using my patterns for charity you may make as many items as you wish to give, but do not include the pattern with the item. To repeat, the pattern itself is never to be given. You do not have to tag charity items. I don't want credit for your work. If someone asks you to make an item from a pattern they (or you) saw on my web site, and they offer to pay you for making it, that is fine. That is called working on commission. You are making ONE item for ONE person and have a contractual agreement with them for it (whether oral or written). You do not need to ask permission from me to do this. I give this permission here. Do NOT include the pattern with the item. If you want to sell more than one item you've made, for profit, using my designs, such as at a craft fair, please e-mail me first for permission. You will have to include a tag with the item that reads as follows: "Designed by Sandra Petit of http://www.crochetcabana.com/". They are never to be used in mass production of an item and the pattern is NEVER to be included with the item. When you e-mail me for permission, you will need to let me know what items you are selling made from my designs and where you're selling them. If you are given permission to sell completed items made using my designs on an online auction, web page, or other Internet source, please include the tag information in your description of the item on the web page in addition to including the above-mentioned physical tag with each item sold. In other words in the online description and on the physical item you will send to the buyer. Ideas or techniques are not copyrighted. The pattern itself is copyrighted - this includes the instructions, the pictures, charts or whatever else is included in my particular version of the technique. My versions, I will admit, are usually quite unique. LOL THANK YOU for showing respect for the time and effort I have spent putting this site together for you. I hope you find it useful. Lastly, I am responsible only for making corrections to patterns if such are found. I am not responsible for replacing an item you made with my pattern that didn't come out as you wanted it to or any other problem you have with my patterns. If there is a problem, simply let me know and I will work with you to resolve the situation. I make no claim to perfection though I do honestly try to create patterns that are easy to understand and contain no errors.
