Hooks - general info | Hooks 1 | Hooks 2 | Hooks 3 | Hook Sizes |
Here are some more hooks from my collection. This one has a pointy hook end and is not my favorite for use, but it's sooo pretty, isn't it?
This is my Mollie hook, specifically designed for me by AJ Brislin in Tennessee. The picture on the hook is of my dog, Mollie. This is a very light, smooth black cherry wood hook, size P.
The hooks below are made of Corian (the stuff bathroom/kitchen counters are made of) and also specifically designed for me by AJ Brislin in Tennessee. He has a shop on Ebay but production was put on hold during the illness of his son, who has since passed away. I treasure all the hooks I have that he made. The breast cancer ribbon below is worked in venaro rose Corian and is my all time favorite hook. The other one is lilac Corian and a joy to work with as well. These two are on my favorites list for sure! The pic of three hooks are those I received for my birthday (Jan 2005). The one on the left is made of Festival and Turkish blue Corian. The center one is Primrose and Pompeii Red, the lighthouse hook one on the right is Hot (red), Arctic (white) and Cobalt (blue). The hook below is made in Festival Corian. I got that one for Christmas 2004. Here are some more hooks made by AJ. These are hooks made by AJ, but which were purchased as gifts for other important folks in my life. The hook on the left has a panda on top. This one was for Elizabeth. The one on the right went to my daughter Kate who loves tigers.
The hook below went to Kathy, who is an angel to everyone she knows.
These are steel hooks added to a large handle. For me, these are wonderful. I can finally work with the tiny hooks. I think these might be a 4 and 5. Not sure. The hook below is from Seahorse Designs. Very pretty and unusual. The hook below is wood. If I recall correctly, it was purchased from Turn of the Century. Of course, I already mentioned the Glitter Hooks I received for my birthday (Jan 2007)
