L to R: afghan without
webbins, with webbins, closeup
Spideyghan for Joe
approx 53" across
Pattern used was Gail
E's pattern
Spiderman Round Ripple Afghan
Only change made was one
less round of blue as I ran out of blue I Love This Yarn. I had just enough
red. I would suggest making sure you have at least 15 ounces yarn if working
with the suggested H hook. |

This ghan was not made by
me, but by my daughter (posted with permission). She crocheted all 30 Red Heart Classic black granny
squares and used Bernat Super Value Carrot to assemble the squares using the
continuous join method. The colors are supposed to mimic the Harley Davidson
color scheme and I think does a pretty fair job of it. (A close second was
Caron Natura Pounder Orange)
She used about 40 ounces
of black (11 full skeins and a bit of a 12th) and about 10-12 ounces of
orange (1 full 7 ounce skein and less than half of a second one)
You can find continuous join instructions
here .
This was done on consignment as a Christmas gift.

This is the afghan I

Kate
This is the shawl I made
for my daughter to wear at her wedding. The pattern was at
Michael's web site
and is
Patons Silverlash Beautiful Crochet Shawl
It's a very simple
pattern, quick to work up. Basically it's just (dc, ch 1, sk 1), a filet
pattern with an even chain. As always, I made changes. I used a bit longer
foundation and put a picot border which really dresses it up IMHO.
I used Pernat Baby Coordinates which gave it a nice sheen
and matched the dress color. |

Randi
44" x 46"

Lapghan. Yarn used was Red Heart Super Saver, various colors. Border is one

This afghan was made with Wool Ease ranch red, grey heather, and navy. I
used a shell pattern which I will be writing up. It's similar to the
Christmas strip afghan in the holiday section but larger. I've made several
of these in various sizes. 3 red
strips and 3 grey strips, all trimmed in the navy.

Chip & Kayla

edged in med thyme (dark sage would also work with these
colors) and joined in 4 strips of 5 squares
each.

from the charity group
Heartmade Blessings.
I collected and assembled the 12" squares from friends and members of HMB,
and added borders to everything. |

Lane's afghan
45" x 67"
This afghan uses soft navy and gold Red
Heart Super Saver yarn. It is made with three strips, two small ones and one
large center strip. The border is a special design with a color change every
stitch. It's a little tricky, but once you catch the pattern it's not
difficult. Uses 24 ozs each color. J
hook. Pattern is the
Blue and Gold V-Stitch Afghan.
|

Becky's afghan
